Recap
Reds returned to winning ways in the latest JPL fixture, recording their best win of the season in the process. And having lost to Pennington earlier in the campaign in a League Cup group match, revenge was sweet.
A good start is always important and the hosts were two goals ahead inside twenty minutes thanks to Bobby White and Sam Christian. Both were well finished and set the tone for the game.
They played some excellent football but just had the two goals to show for their efforts at half time.
But they flourished after the break and netted five more with four of the goals coming from three substitutes.
Joe Carney (2), Brad Keenan and Kelvin Amor all came off the bench and found the target with Sam Christian completing the scoring with his first of the season.
The win lifted Reds to second in the table.
Team: Joe Rumney, Luke Routledge, Harley Edmondson, Harrison Telford, Callum Bell, Joe Douglas, Sam Christian, Jack Sharpe, Liam White, Jayden Fulton, Bobby White. Substitutes – Brad Keenan, Joe Carney, Kelvin Amor (all used).
