Recap
Reds survived a nerve-racking second half to secure a narrow victory in the JPL, their second of the season.
They had dominated the first half but only had two goals to show for their efforts and Curzon came more into the picture after the break, making it more of a contest.
Bobby White’s well taken goal in the eighteenth minute opened the scoring in Reds’ favour after he converted Joe Carney’s cross from the right.
And, two minutes later, they doubled their advantage when Jayden Fulton cut in from the right and hammered the ball home from an acute angle.
But it was a different story in the second half with the visitors dominating for long spells after Reds lost their way somewhat.
Jacon Knowles reduced the arrears with a well taken goal in the sixty-second minute and it was ‘game-on’.
Joe Rumney kept Reds narrow lead intact with a string of fine saves, one of which prevented an own-goal from skipper, Owen Johnston.
They managed the game well in the last few minutes and kept Curzon at bay to secure the victory.
