Recap
Two goals in the opening twenty minutes set the young Reds on the road to an emphatic victory in their opening JPL game.
Alfie McDonough netted the first, a good shot on the turn in the sixteenth minute, and doubled Reds’ lead via a well taken penalty.
The visitors squandered a couple of good chances to get back in the game but three goals – two just before half time, one soon after the restart – put Reds in the driving seat.
Liverpool did reduce the arrears at 5-0 with a well taken goal but it was merely a consolation.
Reds finished positively and strongly and saved the best two goals until late in the game.
Joining McDonough on the score sheet were Brad Keenan, who also got a brace, Bobby White, Joe Carney and Jayden Fulton.
Next week, the team face a long journey to the Potteries to take on Foley Meir.
