Dressed for the occasion

One end of season tradition denied Workington supporters because of the ‘Lockdown’ scenario, was the fancy dress away day.

For the past decade or more, Reds supporters have donned fancy dress for the last Saturday away game of the regular season with the many outfits on display often more entertaining than the game itself.

Every super hero imaginable, numerous comic and cartoon characters, animals, doctors, nurses, sheikhs, jockeys, dodgy wigs and masks have all appeared at away games as the Workington faithful have gone incognito.

Not sure what the theme was for this year’s grand parade but the good folk of Brighouse have missed out on a fashion faux pas of epic proportions!
