Development Squad kick-off this weekend
The Reds Development Squad will kick-off their season proper on Saturday with Carlisle City Development the opening day visitors to Borough Park.
They will host the Sky Blues in a Cumberland County League fixture (2pm) having won two, drawn two and lost one of their five pre-season games.
Brian Dawson and Craig Routledge have assembled a twenty four man squad for the new campaign with a few new arrivals replacing others who were with the group last term. The bulk of last season’s squad have re-signed and there will be strong competition for places.
Their first away game will at Aspatria on Wednesday 18th August.
The first batch of fixtures is as follows:
Saturday 14 August – Carlisle City Development (Borough Park) League 2pm
Wednesday 18 August – Aspatria (Away) League 6.30pm
Saturday 21 August – Gosforth (Home, St. Benedict’s School) League 2pm
Saturday 4 September – Pirelli (Home, St. Benedict’s School) League 2pm
Saturday 11 September – Wigton Harriers (Away) League 2pm
Saturday 18 September – Maryport Athletic (Home, venue tbc) League 2pm
Saturday 25 September – Northbank (Away) League 2pm
