Danny (and Caigy) link-up with Falkirk

Former Reds boss Danny Grainger has been revealed as Paul Sheerin’s assistant at Falkirk and was introduced to The Bairns squad on the first day of pre-season training.

Danny announced his departure last week and said his farewells to the Workington players on Tuesday.

And he will have a travelling companion on the one hour forty minute commute from his east Cumbrian base with Tony Caig also joining Falkirk as goalkeeper coach.

Sheerin and Grainger were team mates at St. Johnstone and have remained good friends since.

Caig spent one very successful season at Borough Park, making 51 appearances during the 2009-10 campaign and helping Reds attain a 4th place finish in Conference North.

The club sends good wishes to both as they embark on the next chapter of their respective careers.
