Cup football on the menu

Reds will take a break from league action this week and embark on two cup competitions, one local the other national.

First up is the Cumberland Cup with Reds entertaining Cumberland County League side, Moor Row, at Borough Park on Tuesday (7.45pm). Then, at the weekend, they travel to Droylsden to launch their FA Trophy campaign.

Danny Grainger will play a mixed side in the county cup match with ten first team squad members, including himself, joined by several youngsters from the reserves. The first team members not involved in the game will take part in a light training session.

Moor Row, who have made a solid start to their season, could include ex. Red Sheldon Mossop in their squad.

Admission charges will be reduced to £5, £3 and £1.
