CONTRACT: Vice-cap Carroll commits to another campaign

We are delighted to announce that vice-captain Brad Carroll has re-signed with the club for the 2021/22 season.

Carroll, 24, will remain at Borough Park for his third full season as a Red, having racked up 65 appearances and 11 goals during his stint since arriving in December 2018.

A Barrow-in-Furness native, the grafting midfielder has become an integral part of Danny Grainger’s first-team squad over the last 20 months.

Speaking over the phone yesterday, Carroll explained his delight at committing to the cause once again, saying: “Once Danny rang me to sort it out, it was music to my ears to know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

He continued: “We’ve been in this league for two years now, both seasons haven’t been completed, so it’s like: ‘This is going to be it, we’ve got to get out of this league.’”

Gaffer Grainger said: “Brad’s a player who’s aggressive, horrible to play against, and a goal threat from midfield.

“He’s got a desire to be successful and that’s what we need at Borough Park because we want to win and get to where we want to be.”
