CONTRACT: Symington re-signs with Reds

Workington AFC are delighted to announce that winger Dav Symington has re-signed with the Club ahead of next season.

Chief joker Symington, 26, had one of his most productive campaigns at his hometown club since re-joining in 2016 and has thrived under former Carlisle United teammate Danny Grainger.

Able to play on either wing, Dav started the term with an opening day double and scored his fair share of classic long-range strikes over the course of the season – including this one in March.

Speaking over the phone, Symington said: “I’m really happy to stay and ready to get what we deserve from last year.

“I’m buzzing to get back with the lads and I can’t wait until we can get back at training together.”

In case you missed it, Brad Carroll also committed to another campaign earlier today.

Despite not knowing exactly when the 2020-21 term will get underway, manager Danny Grainger and assistant Steven Rudd have been working on recruitment to build on the last campaign’s table-topping effort.
