CONTRACT: Striker Scott Allison sticking around

We are delighted to announce that striker Scott Allison has re-signed with the club for the 2021/22 season.

Allison, will stay at Borough Park for his ninth campaign as a Red, following 333 appearances in which he’s scored 127 goals.

The 30-year-old becomes our second re-signing for 21/22, after captain Conor Tinnion committed on Monday.

Speaking over the phone yesterday, our joint-third-highest goalscorer said: “I’m obviously happy to sign on again, I spoke to Danny [Grainger] on Sunday and he basically talked over he and Ruddy’s [Steven Rudd’s] plans.

“He told me to have a think about it but I just turned around and said: ‘I’ll sign tomorrow.’

“There’s unfinished business from the two years that we’ve lost, so there was no way I was walking away or looking to go elsewhere until we’ve finished what we started – which is promotion.”

Boss Grainger added: “Scotty’s a tremendous talent and his record at the club speaks for itself.

“He’s a natural winner and he’s become a leader since I’ve come in, so we’re delighted to have him staying at Borough Park.”

Allison’s full interview is available to read here.

Keep your eyes peeled for another re-signing announcement later today!
