CONTRACT: Captain Tinnion signs for next season
We are delighted to announce that club captain Conor Tinnion has signed a new contract, keeping him at Borough Park until the end of next season.
Tinnion, 29, has extended another spell with the club following one of his best campaigns in a red shirt after being given the armband last summer.
The midfielder hit a brace to fire us to victory in our final pre-lockdown match at Tadcaster Albion, scoring a fine free-kick and a contender for goal of the season.
Speaking over the phone, Tinners said: “I’m really pleased. It’s probably the most excited I’ve been about any season since I’ve been here.”
“With the squad and management we have, I think everything’s in place to have another successful year,” said Tinnion.
“Obviously, there’s a lot of unfinished business from last season which will give us even more motivation to achieve the aims we set out 12 months ago when Danny and Ruddy came in.”
Despite not knowing exactly when the 2020-21 term will get underway, manager Danny Grainger and assistant Steven Rudd have been working on recruitment to build on the last campaign’s table-topping effort.
Keep an eye on our social media pages over the coming weeks to hear the latest squad updates.
