CONTRACT: Bowman becomes 10th re-signing
Workington AFC are delighted to announce that striker Charlie Bowman has become the Club’s 10th re-signing this summer.
Bowman, who did not feature from January onwards due to injury, was a consistent member of the matchday squad last campaign.
The former Kendal Town and Penrith goal-getter often offered another option for Reds this term, scoring four times while playing a part in numerous goals.
Speaking over the phone, Bowman said: “I’m just delighted to be asked back with such a strong amount of talent in the squad.
“It’s a great set of lads that I feel I get on with very well,” said the target man.
“I loved being back playing with Scotty [Allison] again. I hadn’t played with him for nine years but before that, with living in the same area, I’d played in the same teams locally and at school.
“I really want, like the rest of the lads, to pick up where we left off and win this league.”
In case you missed it, Jordan Little also committed his future earlier today.
Despite not knowing exactly when the 2020-21 term will get underway, manager Danny Grainger and assistant Steven Rudd have been working on recruitment to build on the last campaign’s table-topping effort.
