Cole set for Colne
Reds boss, Danny Grainger, confirmed that new signing, Cole Lonsdale, will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s BetVictor North West encounter at Colne after the Lancashire based player joined the club this week.
The former Clitheroe player (inset) was at Borough Park to meet his new colleagues last Saturday and has trained with the squad at Penrith.

The left sided defender/midfielder played, and scored, against Reds earlier this season but recently left Clitheroe. The 20 year old came through the ranks at Bolton Wanderers and has also played for Lancaster City.
Colne looked a decent side when they earned a 1-1 draw at Borough Park back in September but they currently languish in 15th position albeit having played fewer games than everyone else.
A Workington team, including Dan Wordsworth, Dav Symington, Sam Smith, Nathan Waterston and Scott Allison won 2-1 on their last visit to Colne two years ago in an Integro League Cup tie but their only league outing at the now named Sovereign Play Stadium resulted in a 6-0 defeat back in 1989, when Colne Dynamoes were a force.
Supporters travelling to the game are reminded that the M6 is closed in the Lancaster area over the weekend so detours will be in place.
