CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT: Happy New Year & Covid update
On behalf of everyone at Workington AFC, can we wish all our supporters, sponsors and shareholders a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Sadly, the NPL had already cancelled games up to and including 12th January. The latest situation makes any restart beyond this date highly unlikely, but we await confirmation of this and the next steps regarding any continuation of fixtures.
The latest highly infectious strain and increased restrictions, as a result, give everyone involved at the club no real optimism that games can be played anytime soon.
In the meantime, the club have ensured safety must come first and as a result the stadium and club offices will be closed until further notice, with only essential maintenance being undertaken.
