Changes for Reserves
There will be a change in the managerial structure for the Reds Reserves team ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Former players Brian Dawson and Craig Johnston will be the manager and assistant, respectively, with their appointments assuring another piece of the jigsaw falling into place in terms of providing a pathway to first-team football.

The emphasis will be on youth and developing players who will eventually progress to first-team football, having come through the academy under RITC.
Brian, head of RITC, and Craig, a prominent member of the Reds Junior set-up, will be able to build their squad for the Lancashire League season in a new Cumberland FA summer league initiative which kicks off this week.
Reds and several other local clubs will compete in the summer tournament with the matches taking place on 3G pitches at Whitehaven AFC and St. Benedict’s campus. Cockermouth will be Reds first opponents on Thursday 23 May, 7pm kick off at Whitehaven AFC.
The club would like to thank outgoing manager Lee McCullough and his assistant, Ken Curwen, who ran the Reserves last season, guiding them to a respectable 7th place finish in the Lancashire League.
