Career milestone for Dav

David Symington has joined a select band of players in the current squad after playing his 200th game for the club.

He joins Scott Allison, Sam Smith, Conor Tinnion and Dan Wordsworth to have made his 200th competitive appearance for Workington.

In recognition of reaching this particular milestone, the club presented Dav with an engraved piece of glassware prior to the Carlisle United game on Tuesday.

Making the presentation were Gavin Skelton, Reds’ manager when Dav made his debut, and current boss, Danny Grainger.

Dav made his Northern Premier League debut eight years ago after joining Reds on loan from Carlisle United. He reached his double century of appearances in the game at Runcorn Linnets last month.

His 200 appearances included 166 league games, 8 in the FA Cup, 16 in the FA Trophy, 6 in cups and play-offs and 4 in the Cumberland Cup.
