Busy week at BP
Reds will play three consecutive home games in the next eight days – a league and cup double header against Ossett United followed by Mossley’s second visit of the season, next Saturday.
First up is Ossett United for the league encounter on Saturday with 2nd placed Reds hosting Wayne Benn’s team, currently 18th in the NPL North West Division.
The two sides met two months ago at Ingfield with Reds emerging 4-2 winners in what was a close contest until Brad Carroll’s superb goal late in the day.
And that game probably epitomised Ossett’s season in a ‘ding-dong’ ninety minutes. They score plenty of goals but also concede a few and have languished at the wrong end of the table for much of the season as a consequence.
They have collected twenty points so far from five wins and five draws.

This will be the united Ossett’s first visit to Borough Park (quickly followed by their second) but both Town and Albion have been regular visitors to west Cumbria in the past.
Danny Grainger should have a full squad available with top scorer Nathan Waterston expected to return after missing the Prescot Cables match through illness.
Kick-off: 3pm
