Bottom v. top
The pre-Christmas league table indicates that Pickering Town are currently twenty three points behind league leaders Workington ahead of the bottom v. top clash on Saturday in North Yorkshire.
In a reverse of the opening day fixture, Reds will make a first ever visit to Town’s Recreation Ground complex and will have to guard against complacency in the last away game of the year.
Town’s problems have been on the road, where they have lost all eleven league games, contrasting with some solid performances on home soil. The first of those league defeats was at Borough Park back in August when Reds emerged 4-1 winners after a very even first half.
Danny Grainger will have to tweak the side with Liam Brockbank away on futsal duty with the FA. Ash Kelly is the only injury concern and he won’t feature again until the New Year.
T manager also announced that Luke Ivison will be joining Penrith on loan for a month.
