Board update

There was a unique Board meeting on Monday when the Reds directors held their regular rendezvous via a video link with seven individuals discussing business from the comfort of their own homes.

It was a very productive meeting, ran smoothly for a first attempt and will become the norm for the foreseeable future.

The two-hour meeting was predominantly about planning for next season and, despite all the problems surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, preparation for the return of football, whenever that may be, is essential.

It is encouraging to be able to plan ahead thanks to the generosity of our supporters who are enabling us to review our operating procedures in these challenging times.

Matters under discussion included the playing budget, pitch improvements, business planning and centenary year revenue generation and events.

The Board also thanked retiring director Dave Cumberworth who recently stepped down after almost six years on the Board.  He has been a great help to the club and his financial input has been vital and greatly appreciated.
