We were saddened to hear of the death of Billy Greenhalgh who passed away on the 30 April. He was 82.
Billy was a lifelong Reds supporter and first watched matches in the North Eastern League during the forties. He was a regular at Borough Park until well into his seventies and introduced grandson, Alex, to the terraces, attending games with him on a regular basis.
He stood in the Enclosure, near the tunnel, and enjoyed the banter with the referee and his assistants.
The funeral service is next week and family members have been asked to donate to the Workington Covid-19 appeal in memory of Billy.
The club would like to send condolences to the family and friends.
