Better late than never

There was a belated surprise for Reds officials at the NPL AGM in Birmingham on Saturday.

They were presented with a Club of the Month award for their endeavours during February…….2020!

Several presentations by the League were put on hold by the pandemic with most communication via zoom etc.  It was a catch-up day on Saturday and several clubs collected an unexpected piece of luggage with a memento they had probably forgotten about.

Director Les Byers was presented with the engraved piece of glassware which will find a resting place in the Borough Park boardroom.

Reds’ record during February 2020 was impressive to say the least – played five, won five with 18 goals scored and just 1 conceded:

Prescot Cables (away) 2-0, Ossett United (home) 2-0, Droylsden (away) 4-0, Kendal Town (away) 6-0 and Clitheroe (home) 4-1.
