All change for Reds
Manager Danny Grainger will ring the changes for Tuesday night’s Integro League Cup tie v. Kendal Town and hinted that he may name himself in the squad.
It’s part two of the Cumbrian derby and follows last week’s 5-0 victory in the league.
Kendal Town return to Borough Park in a better frame of mind having obtained their first league win for six months on Saturday. They accounted for fellow strugglers, Pickering Town and, after being successful in that ‘must win’ game, will be confident of putting on a better performance second time around.
League Cup rules insist on eight recognised first team squad members being named in the sixteen which still gives plenty of scope for several members of the reserves to get a taste of first team action.
Reds have scored 102 goals in the League Cup over the years and 22 of those have been netted against Kendal in the nine games between the two in the competition.
The tie will be settled on the night and, if level after ninety minutes, will go straight to penalties.
Kick-off: 7.45pm
