CLUB NEWS: Welcome back Sam

Carlisle United midfielder, Sam Hetherington, is returning to Borough Park for a second loan spell.

Sam was with the club for the second half of last season and made twenty appearances in Workington colours.  He scored his first goal in senior football with a spectacular effort in the 3-1 win at FC United of Manchester.

At the end of the ’23-24 campaign, he returned to his parent club and played against Workington in the Cumberland Cup Final.

Since then, Sam spent much of pre-season around the Blues first team squad and he made his first team bow against Nottingham Forest in last month’s EFL Trophy tie at Brunton Park.

Sam, 18, will be available for selection for Saturday’s game at Hyde United.
