The Club’s Centenary Dinner has been confirmed for mid-March and will be the highlight of an exciting weekend for all Workington Reds supporters
It will be held at Workington’s Washington Central Hotel on Friday 18th March and, to complete the celebrations, the first team have a home game next day. Promotion chasing Reds will host Trafford in a league fixture on the Saturday, enabling guests who have travelled from afar to see the current team in action after acknowledging their heroes of yesteryear.
It is over 100 years since the re-formation of the club in 1921, and the theme will be focused purely on all things WAFC to celebrate a notable milestone in the club’s history.
The aim is to get as many former players there as possible – the more the merrier – and quite a few have already committed to attending
Tables will be offered to the corporate market and we expect players from various decades to attend the bash with their former team mates. Tickets for individuals will be £30 and details of table cost will be available from the club shortly. Centenary Club members are already assured of their seats at the event.
