We are delighted to announce that striker Charlie Bowman has re-signed with the club for the 2021/22 season.
Bowman, 28, came to the club in the summer of 2019 and has been on the peripheries of the starting XI since, offering another option for Danny Grainger up front.
The striker is a popular character amongst the first-team squad, and discussed sealing the deal on Saturday, saying: “It’s good to have an aim for the season ahead now as I’m sick of doing nothing!
“I’ve been waiting for it to come back around so we can, hopefully, rectify two seasons where we’ve not been promoted.”
Grainger said: “Chaz is a player who I can’t speak highly enough of; he’s a fantastic lad to have in the dressing room, he never lets us down when called upon and he’s got a great relationship with the fans.
“The reason we’ve kept him here is because he’s had a long couple of years not getting many opportunties and we feel that this could be the year that he kicks on.”
Robbie Hebson also re-signed earlier today, and watch out for another announcement soon.
